Big Nuz: Big Question Mark?
The well known South African Kwaito group seems to be shaky about their next step...
The group who has shaken the Kwaito world to its boots is now starting to look into the future and for many, it seems to not be so bright. It has been said that one of the groups members Danger, whose real name is Mzi Tshomela, is not sure about his place, not only with the group "Big Nuz", but in the music industry as a whole. Their super stardom and powering rise to the top of the Kwaito world has now taken a back seat to the rumors and mur murs of the group's seeming discomfort with each other.
These have said to have been started after Mandla Maphumulo, better known as "Mampintsha", was heard to have been working on his own project while leaving Danger in the dark. Sources stated that Mampintsha had started being booked for gigs on his own and even appearing on show posters under his own name and not the group "Big Nuz". Although kept in the dark, Danger did not wait around on others, he has now even been said to be be working on a solo album himself!
Stories have also been spread that Big Nuz was unhappy at Afrotainment, a South African recod label lead by prominent star DJ Tira, and had plans of splitting. These rumors however were later put to rest when Danger refused to comment on the matter and said:
"Wait, I won't tell you anything, just go and find the person who told you this then come to me. I'll tell you what you want to know if you can come to me with your source. We're too old to entertain this"
Whether their break seems to bee looming or this was a play at a publicity stunt, we do see both members making steps in the right direction, we as fans are just curious if they will be taking those steps forward together.
